Description
A spooky, cheesy, kid-approved Halloween dinner with monster meatballs and webbed spaghetti. Fun to make, fun to eat!
Ingredients
200g spaghetti or linguine
1 lb ground beef or turkey
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 egg
½ cup panko breadcrumbs
1 cup shredded mozzarella or string cheese cubes
Salt and pepper to taste
½ tsp Italian seasoning
1 jar marinara sauce
150g mini mozzarella balls
Sliced black olives
Optional: black or green food coloring
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a bowl, combine meat, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, seasoning, salt, and pepper.
3. Flatten portions of meat mix and insert cheese cubes inside. Seal and form into meatballs.
4. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 18–20 minutes, or pan-fry until browned and cooked through.
5. Boil spaghetti per package instructions, adding food coloring if using. Drain and toss with marinara sauce.
6. Attach sliced olives to mozzarella balls using marinara or melted cheese to form “eyeballs.”
7. Nest the meatballs onto the spaghetti and top with mozzarella “eyeballs.”
8. Serve hot with extra sauce or Halloween sides.
Notes
Make meatballs ahead of time and store in the fridge.
Reheat with sauce and refresh eyeballs before serving.
Kid-friendly and vegetarian adaptable with plant-based meatballs.
