Description
A festive twist on the classic whiskey sour, this Cranberry Orange Whiskey Sour combines tart cranberry, bright citrus, and smooth bourbon. Perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
2 oz whiskey (bourbon or rye)
1 oz cranberry juice (unsweetened or pure)
1 oz fresh orange juice
¾ oz fresh lemon juice
½ oz simple syrup (or to taste)
Ice cubes
Optional: orange slice, cranberries, rosemary sprig for garnish
Instructions
1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
2. Add whiskey, cranberry juice, orange juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup.
3. Shake well until chilled (about 15 seconds).
4. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
5. Garnish with orange slice, fresh cranberries, and/or rosemary sprig.
Notes
Adjust sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup.
Use fresh juices for best flavor.
Substitute maple syrup for a cozier winter flavor.
To make a batch, multiply ingredients and mix in a pitcher before serving.
